The Skilled Nominated (Permanent) visa (subclass 190) is a permanent visa for skilled workers who want to live and work in Australia. This visa allows you to live and work in Australia as a permanent resident. To be eligible for this visa, you must be nominated by a state or territory government agency and meet the requirements, which include having an occupation on the relevant skilled occupation list and meeting the English language and skill requirements.
You must also have a positive skills assessment for your occupation. This visa allows you to work in your nominated occupation and travel in and out of Australia for five years from the visa grant date. After living in Australia for at least two years and working in your nominated occupation for at least one year, you may be eligible to apply for Australian citizenship.
